One question, for the author or any readers: how the hell does one pronounce "womxn" ? (I don't know how to pronounce latinx either, another "word" that the author employs often.) Since Ms Knauf's the only writer I've ever seen employ the usage, I assume it's not terribly important that I learn, but I'm curious how they pronounce this in their Women's Studies class, or if it's pronounced the same, and merely a tool to deny the patriarchy/oppressors/what-have-you exclusively in print.
