Re Kohl - Welles "activism"..... creating a mishmash of local rules is certainly not an appropriate answer in my opinion. Perhaps the state is actually adequate to oversee the STATE laws. Perhaps an ordinance in King County to allow home grow is more appropriate as a use of taxpayer dollars.

In other King County Council marijuana news, the council's TrEE committee met Thursday to iron out new marijuana zoning for the county. We found out at that meeting that council members representing more than 80% of unincorporated residents don't particularly want pot stores in their districts. And they may keep it that way, because current zoning doesn't allow those businesses there.

That's the main reason that the vast majority of retail marijuana stores licensed to date have been shoe-horned inappropriately in White Center and Skyway.
