I'd be especially interested to know what aspects of our seed-to-sale traceability requirements other states and countries would want to emulate, and which they would want to do differently (see http://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?c…). Colorado and other states require similar traceability, but a key difference is that the records are a matter of public record here (Washington state's sunshine laws are pretty amazing; http://www.atg.wa.gov/obtaining-records). While license holders complain that these tracability regulations add a significant operational cost and force them to share inner workings of their business they'd rather keep private, I'd argue that overall it's a net positive for the citizens who approved legal adult use to have full transparency into the inner workings of this new market to prevent shady pockets from developing.
