MAYBE it's time to move on,,,the original novelty (Look, they're smoking pot right in front of everybody and the cops aren't doing anything!!!) and political purpose (legalized recreational pot) are no more. The last few years, it seems to me, the crowds are rougher, more skirmishes, the booths, frankly, for the most part are lame. It's more a big party, and not the great kind like Cap Hill Block Party, but more like the tone of a Frat "Spodi." Maybe time to move on,,,

Tempest started out as a one day event. It grew to two and then three days because of popularity. Maybe it's time to scale it back to one told two days. Surely that would help defray costs.

Hempfest not tempest. Stupid auto correct. Auto correct has become my worst enema. Dammit, stop that !!

I smoke pot every day, have lived in Seattle nearly 20 years, and have never been to Hempfest. I never felt like I was missing anything.

Perhaps the problem is that - with legalized marijuana in this state - Hempfest has outlived its purpose IN SEATTLE. It should become a "moveable festival," and relocate to a state that's still wrestling with legalization issues. By hanging around Seattle, it has lost its reason for being.

MAYBE STOP LETTING LITTLE CHILDREN INTO THIS EVENT AND I COULD ACTUAL SUPPORT AND RESPECT THE CAUSE.
The last and ONLY time I've been to Hempfest I witnessed idiots bringing their INFANTS and TODDLERS in!! WTF?! WHY DO THEY NEED TO COME TO THIS EVENT?!
I know some people consume marijuana openly around their children, and whatever, everyone parents differently. But why the hell would you bring them to a marijuana festival? Have some brains and maturity and find a babysitter.
And shame on Hempfest for not regulating this.

Please wait...
