So legal weed doesn't lead to less crime
2
@1 - Liquor stores still get robbed.

@1 This article doesn't provide enough information to make that determination. Obviously, there weren't a lot of smash and grabs reported prior to legal sales but there were obviously quite a few more illegal sales. I think it's safe to say there were more illegal marijuana sales than there are now robberies of pot shops which would certainly imply a decrease in crime but I haven't done the research to provide those actual statistics.

There is this though. Fewer opioid deaths is certainly a good thing! http://www.newsweek.com/opioid-marijuana…

@1 Wait until people find out you can get high as balls from cans of whipped cream. Stock up on ammo now to protect your family.

Any k-9 unit that can't sniff out a truck load of dank skunk isn't worth whatever tax dollars I'm dumping into it.

@1
Maybe not less crime, but definitely fewer criminals.
I'll let you puzzle that one out.

We covered these break-ins on our site on Monday.
http://westseattleblog.com/2017/10/west-…

According to the police report for the second one, there IS an alarm. However, as we wrote, the burglars were in and out very quickly - two minutes, in one case.

@5: I agree. Follow the business model of jewelry stores & lock up all inventory after hours.

Lots of victim shaming here.

"Here's Johnny!!!"

But the suspects are victims! Because they are black! Didn't you know that? They are the REAL victims here! Blacks are always the real victims even when committing crimes!
I am also black, by the way, and also a real victim.
Lol.
Lol. Interestingly enough, The Stranger keeps hush hush about their race. Actually, nope. Not surprised at all. If they were white, The Stranger would proudly bash on their race throughout the article, even though he does not matter. That the "white, privileged, straight males" are horrible criminals. Lol
Just an observation lol.

Please wait...
