These days the Prayer Warrior, Ken Hutcherson, writes me a lot less often than used to. But I still get the occasional letter, and this one provides a noteworthy, if typically obscure, health update.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Next week I will be in Alabama speaking at a conference and a couple of churches. Please pray for safe travels and that the Lord will be glorified throughout all these events.

On January 26 I will be going back to the doctor to talk about the timeline for starting a treatment plan. I will know more of the particulars after the appointment on the 26th. Please be praying that God will blow us away with what He is going to do with this situation. He is still sovereign!

  1. I don’t know. If something happened to Pastor Hutch, it would seriously make me question God’s sovereignty. Isn’t Pastor Hutch, like, even better than God?

  2. “He is still sovereign! “

hmmmm…..It almost sounds like dear Hutch might have some doubts?

I can maybe see why: All those years of preaching, and they still can’t get out of the gym. Casey and Wendy have TWO churches AND a helicopter. What’s Hutch doing wrong?

  3. Every time Hutch says a prayer Jesus rolls his eyes, says to St Peter and John the Baptist “You guys let me know when that fat douchebag is finished”, and cranks up Judas Priest on his iPod.

  4. Rev. Hutcherson is a Christian Patriot who has made moving and eloquent appearances on John Carlson’s program on KVI. You Marxist homosexual fools would be wise to heed his words, repent your lifestyle, and then put on the uniform of your country and serve it in Iraq!

  5. @5 Hutch has been kicked out the LW gym. He now has service at the SDA church gym since they (SDA) worship on Saturdays. He had to go to 3 services to try and keep enough people coming to fill the tithing baskets!
@8 Hutch told his flock to vote for McCain/Palin because of Obama’s views on Gays and rights for all.

  6. Please pray for safe travels and that the Lord will be glorified throughout all these events.

It would be kind of cool if The Lord smote Hutch’s plane from the sky.

  7. Dear Prayer Warriors,
Please pray that god will go back in time to Jan. 20, 2001, find the guy becoming the next POTUS, and crush him with something really heavy. Oh, and glory and sovereignty and all that…

  8. He’s being treated for a serious case of Envy Rash. The slightest mention of Rick Warren being elevated to national prominence, and the feverish pustules break out all over again.

  9. Rush provides the answer! I’m guessing it’s along the euphemistic lines of “self-inflicted wound”.

The Hutch cannot appear today. I’ve been trying to get the Hutch on to discuss the championship games, and I’ve been e-mailing The Hutch for the past couple days, Ken Hutcherson, Dr. Ken Hutcherson, in Seattle. He is in eastern Washington killing birds. He is hunting. I think it’s birds. It could be mammals that trod the soil. Anyway, he’s out, away from civilization, will not be able to join us, but he will be here two weeks from today to discuss the Super Bowl, which is February 1st in Tampa.

Or maybe he’s deep in depression over his student out-megachurching the master?
