Lester, are you behind this travesty?

What happens when you merge Brian Eno’s Ambient 1: Music for Airports and Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music? You get the most cognitive-dissonant chillout soundtrack you’ve ever had mixed feelings about. (How MMMFA has been up on YouTube for more than a year without me knowing about it is a deep, disturbing mystery.) Conceptually and linguistically, this is a masterpiece, but one listen to Eno's dainty, sparse keyboard and vocal watercolors and Reed's strident guitar feedback should suffice. Play all four simultaneously, if you have the guts (hear the clips after the jump). I'm feeling serenely agitated right now.
