Let's hope this is GOOD news for some of y'all rock and/or rollers who've recently been burgled: A house full of ill-gotten gains was raided last week after the police discovered the thieves posting the stolen goods for sale on teh internet! For YEARS I've seen bummer posts from musicians or bands saying "our van/practice space was broken into and all our gear was stolen—please keep an eye out," so I'm happy I get to post that someone's stolen gear was actually recovered and is currently being RETURNED to the proper owners. Dig the details, and a picture of a machine gun guitar, via the SPD blotter.

Police began investigating the crew of thieves last week after a break-in at a storage facility last week in the Denny Triangle. The suspects broke into several storage lockers over several days, and made off with electronics, TVs, beds, tables and other items worth as much as $100,000.

Detectives soon found several of the stolen items posted for sale online, and tracked the seller to a house in the 6700 block of 8th Ave NW in Ballard.

Along with the guitars and drums, the cops also recovered "stolen computers, power tools, bicycles, recording equipment, stolen prescriptions, a stamp collection," and "two stolen Subarus."
