Gaze into the lunatic visage of Christeene.

In addition to the great FREE shows listed over yonder, there is a plethora of other excellent live music to check out this weekend. Without further ado, let's hop in.

TODAY

Fix My Dick
Revel in the "intense shamelessness" of provocative phenomenon Christeene at Chop Suey.

Daniel Corral & Noisepoetnobody
Or, experience the "massive synthesized tides" of composer Daniel Corral's Diamond Pulses tonight at the Chapel.

The New Mastersounds
Perhaps, if you're in the mood to groove more traditionally, you could check the tightly-coiled funk cuts of the New Mastersounds at Nectar.

The Scorpions and Queensryche
And of course, there's always the butt-rock alternative.

Other notables today: XUA and Panabrite at Gallery 1412.

SATURDAY

The Fame Riot and Ever So Android
Electro-rock's still alive and well, as any of the bands on tonight's bill at the Crocodile will be happy to tell you.

Benefit for Eddie Spaghetti
The immortal Mudhoney, and other local music greats, gather to benefit Supersuckers singer Eddie Spaghetti, whose recently been diagnosed with cancer.

Other notables today: Mastersounds night two at Nectar, Luniz at Jazzbones.

SUNDAY

Wayne Shorter Quartet
Perhaps the biggest "get" of this year's Earshot, saxophonist Wayne Shorter played with everyone from Ellington to Davis, appearing on some epochal jazz records along the way.

Modern Sky Music Festival
A strange one-day festival which Dave Segal claims "sounds like a stealth operation to boost China's musical standing in the States," which pairs popular Western acts like Gang of Four and Ariel Pink with their more obscure Chinese counterparts.

Other notables today: Murs at the Crocodile, Lang Lang at the Benaroya (matinee show).

As usual, the rest of the weekend's music looks pretty good as well.
