RARRRR! (Yes, I got Heidi's permission to post this image.) Hawk Krall

We received this enjoyable letter to the editor yesterday, responding to Heidi's recent article on homelessness and affordable housing, which argued that city officials were wrong to give in to NIMBYs and abandon plans to increase the amount of multi-family zoning in the city:

[T]o the Stranger Editor,

So…Heidi Groover is an enabler…slamming the hard working, tax paying, families, both wealthy and struggling citizens of Seattle and Puget Sound calling us all out as nimby’s because we care about our children, our homes, our neighborhoods, our city, and our lives. “ neatly bagged belongings including his medication”, what a load, this kind of reporting mirrors the garbage the homeless leave scattered where ever they camp.

Do everyone a favor Stranger and quit printing do nothing, bullshit articles written by bleeding heart amateurs. Heidi lets us know at the end of her “story” what she really wants is to off single family zoning, another developer wonk using the poor and homeless to steal for them. Yes flood the “urban villages” with the poor, rubber tramps, and wretched homeless scare the villagers away, and buy up their properties and develop on the cheap. The next neighborhood to be urban pillaged? Look out Magnolia, Wallingford, Montlake, Ravenna, Madrona, et al.

We all know the score, we all live under constant pressure from gold lover gluttons, capitalist pigs, and developer cenobites, and their government succors, little we can do to hold on to what we have, given this task I for one am a dammed, but proud NIMBY!
