Ahoy! The petitioning phase of the campaign for a tunnel referendum is wrapping up (and they’re well on their way to making the ballot), but you need to turn in signatures ASAP. Say the good folks at Protect Seattle Now:

You can also drop off your petitions tonight at the HG Lodge at 722 E. Pike, Thursday the 24th from 7-10pm. They’ll have people outside to pick up petitions.

  2. I work downtown and haven’t seen anyone with petitions for this over the past couple of weeks. I have seen the Children International freaks everywhere though.

    Would have signed it but couldn’t find a petition to sign.

  5. Just today I saw several petition folks, there were also petitions in the print version of The Stranger last week, they are available online (print double-sided) and at most light rail stations on a lot of mornings. Westlake at 3rd & Pine was a major signing point, too.

    Keep yer eyes peeled 🙂

  11. I’ll be downtown tomorrow, and I’m willing to literally go out of my way to sign this thing.

    So if someone wants to report exactly where and when in downtown they’ll have a signature collector tomorrow, that’ll be one more than they’ve got now.

    (I am not, however, willing to deal with double-sided printed and making a whole evening trip to Capitol Hill out of it. Yeesh! You’d think the “surface-and-transit” people would have a clue how time-wasting our transit is.)

  12. I didn’t even know there was a petition going around to do this. But I do now…the day after the petitions were all turned in.
