Pettirosso

A Capitol Hill standby known for its extra-great espresso (from a vintage hand-pulled machine), cute little Pettirosso closed for a year at the end of 2011, reopening with a bigger menu, more space, more hours, and lots of sweet, sweet booze (in the form of a full bar). Say hi to the incredibly friendly owners, Yuki Sodos (who worked at Pettirosso back in the day) and her sister Miki, who also run the very-much-loved Bang Bang Cafe in Belltown.

Petit Rosso

Visited Petit Rosso for the first time a few weeks ago; decided it's where I want to take my family for Mother's Day! I love this place - it is "hidden" and very charming with great food and coffee. The recently completed renovations are so visually interesting, combining a rustic warehousey feel with grace and elegance. Wonderful artwork for sale on the walls, a very friendly staff and great chefs, coffee to die for, and french toast that literally melted in my mouth. Priced fairly for what we got. I highly recommend this spot!

One of my favs

Pettirosso is a great place to go for dinner after or before theatre. The atmosphere is industrial, earthy, comfortable and quietly elegant. The food is amazing! The price is reasonable. I love this place!
