Drae’s Lake Route
Andre Israel, one of the original owners of Nate’s Wings and Waffles, assumed sole ownership over the restaurant’s Rainier Beach location and changed its name to Drae’s Lake Route. He’s kept most of the same staff and the signature chicken wings and waffles, but also added menu items such as collard greens, red beans and rice, and Philly cheesesteaks. (The Central District location of Nate’s Wings and Waffles, now an entirely separate business, is open as usual.)
