Volunteer Park, 1400 E Prospect St
The Asian Art Museum is in a gem of an Art Deco building, erected in 1933 and located in bucolic Volunteer Park. Its collections of Asian art remain the single greatest draw for scholars and admirers of art to Seattle. The works span centuries and mediums and come from China, Japan, India, Korea, Southeast Asia, the Himalayas, the Philippines, and Vietnam. And the building is pure jazz.
