Cheap, nice staff, but iffy food

I was craving vietnamese food and ordered the fresh spring rolls and a pork sandwich. The spring rolls seemed to made with some kind of pre-packaged iceberg lettuce that might have even have been a little brown around the edges. They came with a bland peanut sauce, rather than the diluted fish sauce that would have been more typically vietnamese. The sandwich was better, with good bread, but it used heavily marinated pork that was too sweet. It might have been authentic, or it might have just been the same teriyaki pork they use for other dishes. I might go back and try a beef or chicken sandwich; the prices are low enough that I would give it another chance.

Thai truck stop = too much sugar, but the rotten meat underlying that nice pile of brown rice wasn't truck stop. It was time to take it back, and I don't go to fast Thai just to take it back.

Great Teriyaki

Anyone who gives this place a bad review probably wouldn't be happy anywhere. There are not many places in Seattle that have as good of quality teriyaki that you will get at Anne's. The dining room is basic teriyaki-joint, and you order at the counter. If you want more go to Canlis. If you are in a hurry call ahead as it can take a while

Okay Cheap Food

I work in Ballard and I was craving Teriyaki and I stumbled upon Ann's Teriyaki. I'll be honest, I was expecting better food, I didn't get very much beef, my rice was 'mushy' and they forgot my side of extra sauce. If you are looking for fast cheap teriyaki/japanese ($8) on the go then I reccommend it to you. If you're looking for quality teriyaki food, it would'nt be my first choice.

Da Place to eat in Ballard

Try Ann's Sate. It's soup with noodle, shrimp, meat and veggie with some kind of really yummy coconut sauce. My wife and I love it!

a great place for a casual lunch

we love ann's we go there almost once a week, I've currently had to go on a two month brake because I've eaten there so often for 5 years, but even cake gets bland after an eternity. Ann's has affordable pricing, a conscious intergration of healthy vegitables to make sure your getting what you need and delicious hot meals. order the fresh rolls with peanut sauce! Deliscious!

Ann's every week

We love Ann's! The decor is nothing to write home about, but the food is healthy and fresh...and plentiful. The menu has lots of veggie options, brown or white rice, varied noodle dishes, and bubble tea to make you happy! It's a favourite Ballard hideaway and the price is right.

OK if in a hurry

The people are nice. The fresh rolls are OK for a quick snack. This is not high-concept food! Decent noodle soup for cheap. Good for a quick lunch.
