  • Unfussy, delicious, clean, uncluttered, real. Here is the place to indulge your cravings for all the weird, wonderful things the French do to meat, such as rillettes, confit, and pâté. Le Pichet could so easily have gone over the top with the preciousness and the pretentiousness and the expensive food; praise the Lord, it didn't.

Unexpectedly rude service

I took a girl there on a first date and mid way through our meal and wine we were asked when we might be leaving because they had a large table coming in. I have been to Le Pichet before and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but this was something else. They explained that the hostess had failed to mention that a large party was coming in and that our table was going to be reserved. Thats their fault. Then different servers slowly started to chip away at us by taking one thing at a time off of the table. I have never been treated so shitty in a restaurant.

Perfection!

I simply love this little spot. I've only ever been here alone- and it's the sort of place where you feel completely at ease dining solo. If you need a little rich-French cuisine therapy in the middle of the day (or anytime, really)- Le Pichet will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The staff is entirely accomodating and sweet, and the food is authentic. They know exactly how to present it, and the portions are perfect considering the richness. You may want to avoid this place if you are vegetarian, but otherwise- try the pate! Quaint environment, too- you can almost forget you're in Seattle.

Dear Jesus; Thank you for sending me Le Pichet. It has the best wine list in Seattle and the pommes frites are amazing. Thats all anyone needs to know.

The cheese makes up for it.

The meat and cheese tray is affordable, interesting, and pretty much tasty. The place itself is cozy, if not a bit crowded during peak times. Last time I was here, the service was slack, but the cheese was good, so I didn't care all too much.
