Restaurant Details

  • Mr. Gyros turns out the solid standards of quick Middle Eastern food: falafel, shawarma, kabobs, baba ghanoush, and hummus. The chicken shawarma stands out: It's scented with a hint of cinnamon, slathered with tahini, and wrapped in a thin pita.

Awesome Cheap Eats

I live in the neighborhood and have always wanted to try this place. It wasn't easy. I work evenings with weekends off and their hours are curtailed on the weekends. But man was it worth the wait! The staff is extremely friendly and bantered with just about everyone who came in all while providing prompt service and excellent food.

I had the dinner combo plate with thinly sliced lamb and chicken, salad and hummous.

I highly recommend it and I'll be back!

It's good

If your judgement is of a Gyro place is their fry’s your priority’s are off. Mr Gyeros is great, the food is fresh and well presented. The two brothers running the place are friendly and want to see returning customers, its easy to call in an order too.

raw fries

If you are not a regular here then you may want to expect to be ignored and possibly get undercooked food.I have given them a try a few times since the ownership change years ago and it really sucks.I do not recommend this joint.

Excellent

Mr. Gyros is delicious, with very tasty falafel, fresh veggies, and nice soft, warm pita. Service is great and really friendly, too.

Just Great

The fellas making your meal are polite and friendly, astonishingly efficient and skilled at what they do. The side of hummus is perfect ...just smokey enough. A treasured hole in the wall, this.

Now You're Talking!

I'm not sure where the owner is from; Israel? Lebanon? But he sure makes a great juicy gyros sandwich. Falafel and schwarma are great too. Terrific east-coast low-rent fast-food ambience too, with loud groovy eastern music, too. I love this place the MOST. Easily the best quick non-Mexican lunch in this area.
