Green star Joe Bar (Capitol Hill)

810 E Roy St
Seattle, WA 98102

Website

Cute little Joe Bar has interesting art on the walls as well as nice people inside those walls, and crêpes are served in addition to its namesake coffee. The cheapest and most delicious item on the crêpe menu is also the most classic: lemon juice and powdered sugar, topped with thin-to-transparent slices of lemon. The more substantial savory crêpes include a tasty Caprese salad rip-off and a spinach, roasted red pepper, and blue cheese combo. Also: panini, soup, salads, antipasti plates, and beer and wine, and yay for that.

excellent

Stopped by to kill three hours while I was waiting on a customer to make a decision. Coffee is coffee, but to add a smoked salmon and brie cheese crepe was awesome. My barista, Corey, who had a great laugh and smile, suggested several local places where I could also kill some time. This is the sort of thing we miss on the eastern side in Spokane. Cheers!

Love love love

I love Joe Bar. I have been coming here since I was 13 and had braces. The coffee is good and the crepes and paninis are amazing. It has a wonderful location with the outdoor seating and big tree. It feels like sitting in a little Parisian neighborhood cafe and the rotating art shows are always fun. The best part to me about Joe Bar is the staff, Wylie the owner is such a kind friendly person and has made a great cafe because of it.

J'Adore!!

I love everything about Joe Bar- the folks that run the place/work there are truly fantastic people, the space/building is full of charm, it's unpretentious and comfortable, and they showcase a great selection of artists. Oh, and the coffee/chai is the best in my opinion, and if you like there are yummy crepes and my favorite drink of all time- Lillet Blanc. A gem of a coffeeshop.

the coffee isn't as good as vivace. the scene seems nice.. or is it yuppy? i just don't know about this place. haven't tried the crepes, but the other food options are so-so.

Best Coffee in Seattle

They use Fonte which is probably the richest bean around and their baristas are top notch. It is also the perfect atmosphere for a quite chat with a good friend or a nice long escape with a book. Sit by the window and watch the rain fall.

Great Coffee, Great Crepes

In a town with an endless number of coffee options this is one of the best. The coffee is v. good. The place has a great vibe. The crepes are superb. Only flaw is you need a decrypter ring to figure out when you can get a crepe (a customer designed a simple to understand chart for them once which they displayed and then removed). Also could do a litte more work on their snacks which are so key but not really getting the attention they deserve - somewhat boring scones etc.
