Syncopators at Buckleys on Mondays is no longer going on. I can't seem to get the Stranger to take the listing down. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us while we were there, check our website or facebook page for details on upcoming shows.

I love the food, wine, beer and the people. It is a neighborhood bar that I now enjoy a few times a month. After reading a few of these reviews, I have NO idea where these people usually hangout...it must be some chain because this is an independently owned sports bar/pub that shows most, if not all, of the attributes I have ever looked for in a local watering hole. Maybe some people just want to see corporate America....twenty four pieces of flair is their style.

REALLY BAD!

I had not expected much but it was a let down. Not sure why they had 9 TVs going too. Much more a sports bar then cozy pub. The burger my boyfriend had was ok, but the ribs were tough and chewy and covered in what tasted like KC masterpiece. Not planning on going back.

Archie Bunker is alive and well

At first glance, Buckleys seems pleasant enough. Until the unsmiling, churlish management and staff unwelcome you. It's a unique take in service. My out of town friends were treated like Alaskan Seal clubbers. The beer tasted like it came from a sewage treatment plant. The food was good though. Mean people are known to be fine chefs, see Soup Natzi. If you're looking for the type of evening usually reserved for somber monastic chanting and pre-drug overdose melancholy, this is your place!

This place is great if you are a loser.

I wouldn't let my dog piss on the door for fear of him catching the herp. One bartender was cool, the other was a total D Bag. The beer tasted stale, so we didn't even try the food. When I visit Seattle again, I'll be sure to avoid the block entirely.

Good pub food

I've been going to Buckleys since I moved to lower QA 4 years ago and the food is great for pub food. The burgers and sandwiches (Love the bbq burger or CA chicken sandwich) are delicious as are the sweet potato fries. The grilled meat loaf and mashed taters are super good. The brunch is pretty decent too. Sometimes it's kind of loud in there if it's a big game or something, but otherwise the atmosphere is decent. This might sound weird but the female waitresses in there have never been particularly great or friendly. And I went in there once on a Saturday night and notice they now have a hostess all hookered out. It was weird cause it was so out of place. The bartenders however, have always been really nice and cool, and the other guys who work there are always pleasant.

AWFUL, RUDE, SERVICE

A Horrible sports bar. Went to watch March Madness and a few games and the manager did not play the volume of the games b/c he was more interested in listening to his raggae music much to the dismay of many patrons that compained and left in disgust.

cheap eats?

Call me crazy, but don't think mac and cheese for $12 qualifies as cheap eats. But anyways, if you don't mind overpriced food, it was fairly tasty. You can wash it down with a nice cold beer for 4.25 extra, yum. I went during lunch and it seems quite popular with the yuppie folk.

Rude ?owner and made me sick

I was visiting Seattle, staying at a local hotel. A local website said it was awesome. As usual the the good reviews were written by friends. The owner, was rude and borderline psychotic....and to top it off food made me sick.

All in the 'hood

For a neighborhood bar, the place is surprisingly sterile in terms of service. It is fun to check it out during a ball game, or other such sporting event. They have a fantastic burgers, fries, and onion rings, but don't try to veer to something healthier because the salads are either tasteless or with difficult flavoring pairings.

Awesome digs

This place kind of has it all. A very diverse crowd, TVs everywhere (even an Xbox hooked up to one huge flat screen), free Wi-fi which I love to use, outdoor seating, good food, great beer selection and I have to say the staff are some of the friendliest I've found. Since finding this place, I make it a weekly hang out - meeting clients, or friends. Oh, and they've even got a lot of books on the wall you can pull down and read. Since it's so close to the Key Arena, it would be great for pre/post games or concerts. It sounds like I'm writing an ad for this place! Just check it out for yourself... you'll see. Cheers~

Workers during the day, locals at night.

Buckley's isn't all that bad. I pop in every now and again to watch some baseball or football and enjoy myself - rowdiness in conjunction to each season is what you'd expect. It's a sports bar, yes, but nicely designed with wood, high-backed booths (that you can reserve) and a classy collection of sports decor. It's enough off the beaten path in LQA that the regulars are from the neighborhood. I prefer that over the douchiness you get from Ozzies' or Floyds' sports fans (without Sonics tickets, but with enough dough to get drunk near the Key). One downer to avoid is that it's a Florida Gators alum hell hole. You don't give a flying fuck, but they do way, way too much. Not a bad lunch spot, especially if you grab a seat outside on a sunny day. It's all workers from that weird SW LQA business area tucked in between 15th & Queen Anne Ave. The food's a bit pricey, but it's not bad. I can't lay claim to knowing all about their food - I'm happy enough getting a quiet seat at the bar to see some baseball and getting onion rings with my beer. I hardly have to speak to anyone, or wonder why dude's sunglasses are backwards and upside down on his head (cuz he don't go to Buckley's) - both of which calm me down.
