I'd live off this stuff if I could

I go to the Westlake location though since I don't work in Pioneer Square anymore, tastes just as good (if not better) as the Columbia one.

Place isn't as packed (usually) so you get to chill at a booth or a chair and they tend to give out cups of green tea to "to-go" people waiting for their orders.

And it's cheap, of course.

Cheap, Fast and Good

Who says fast food can't also be delicious? Mai Phim offers small but filling dishes within six minutes for under six bucks. Highly recommended for the frugal.

NOT that good

It is the best Thai I've found in this work area (horrible competition there), but it is certainly not 5-star good. If I want Thai, I wait until I get back home to CapHill. It's also the rudest Thai place I've been, not that I go there for conversation.

i could eat here every day

I've eaten almost everything on the menu and its all good. I'm a big fan of the curry dishes but in the summer you can't go wrong with a little yum moo yang...seasoned pork, cucumbers, red onion in a lime, cilantro, chile vinegrette. I work downtown and have been known to eat there multiple times in a week. All the dishes are $6 including tax how can you beat that. Oh did I mention that the staff is incredibly friendly? Eat there often and you'll be on a first name basis in no time.

You can't beat it!

I used to work next door and go there almost every other day. I would have gone every day, but I got so much food for $6 that I had enough for lunch for two days in a row! Now that I do not work next door, there is a hole in my heart around lunchtime that longs for the Phim...

Fast, fresh, excellent

I work near Mae Phim and I go there far too often for take-out lunch. Everything on the menu is cooked fresh to order, tastes great, and is just $6. If you're going for take-out don't be intimidated by everyone waiting outside -- just march on in to the register to place your order, and then retreat outside for your dish to be called (usually less than 5 mins). You can also call in orders for pickup.
