@1-
Hey that's pretty awesome how you made my friend's death a prop for talking the same boring shit we've all come to expect. Real fucking classy.

@3:

I agree. I know a lot of people think they couldn't play their instruments at all, but there was actually a lot of progression going on there. the first few records were really good, albeit inept, anthemic punk, then they started getting just fucking WEIRD. some of the music on Penis Envy is scathing, Christ the Album actually sounds like a decent hardcore/post-punk record, and then Yes Sir I Will is basically 45 minutes of calculated noise that they were able to recreate live (with a piano ballad thrown in the middle). I'm not even going to get into some of the later singles on Best Before, because those pretty mind-blowing and I'm tired of typing.

am I the only person who thinks the Pixies aren't aging very well? I mean as in their songs, not as people... they've always looked like shite. but every time I hear them the law of diminishing returns kicks in a little harder. at first I thought this was going to happen with the Smiths instead, but then here I am with the Pixies. I blame ex-girlfriends.

and kudos to Duh for the double-pronged insult; "Lizardcoke" sounds waaaaayyy less appealing than space coke or other kinds of high-five worthy cokes out there.

that's the best you could do? I haven't worked that job in a year. you must be slipping in your old age. for a person so intimate with my life story, I would think you'd know that, God(?).

is that like Jesus Lizard-face?

it's cool that someone's around to take Block Party down a few pegs. if you lived in New York, I'm sure you'd be the only one to ever bag on New Jersey.

oh yeah... back when the best looking band of the late 90's/early aughts became the band most likely to be mistaken for getting "lost on the way to the comic convention". gotta thank her for aiding that boner move.

what like "Surrender all your dreams to me tonight, they'll come true in the end"?

I have a crush on the girl in the first picture and I don't want that to sound demeaning.

@41

yeah... if only all that were true it might make you people interesting.

this tour seems like it would be a real drain on local econimies... shouldn't they maybe not go out on the road and leave the townsfolk of whatever cities they play to spend their meager earnings improving infrastructure and providing health-care for kids and going to see that shitty looking Orphan movie?
