Also, the "520 bridge" (as they call it over and over) is actually I-90. There's a westbound exit for Kirkland/Pacific Science Center. The geography is completely whacked.

We had a cop give a rape prevention session in my dorm - Texas, 1986. He covered most of the same territory, then added his own advice: if attacked, claw, bite, scream 'fire,' and take your heels off. He noted a stiletto goes through the ears/eyes quite nicely.

My high school English teacher had a plastic penguin he would throw at kids who weren't paying attention. It was soft rubber, but hurt like hell. No one ever complained. They just did a better job of covering up whatever they were doing.

I was shocked that Derrick Robertson was all alone, drawing a beautiful Spider Jeruselem - yet the lines for Fringe actors was huge. Priorities, people. (Robertson was both lovely and gracious when he signed my book.)
