Queer Opponents of Marriage Equality.
When same-sex marriage was legalized in my native Canada, I thought that homophobia had been stamped out. I was wrong. There's always a battle for justice going on, and just maybe all these battles will be won within our lifetimes.

SL Letter of the Day: My Son's Missing Out.
I'm cis & oriented to men either cis or trans*. If this young man is gynephilic there are women out there who will date him. A lot of the issues this writer raises could be "firstborn child" issues. She should join a support group for parents of trans kids to help her side of the issue, but mostly the kid will be on his own in his own community.

Salon's Tracy Clark-Flory Gets Blendr'd.
Then again, for one on one: OkCupid is probably the magic. Women "looking for short-term dating" (not "casual sex") screening men "looking for short-term dating" (not "casual sex") by striking up ordinary human conversation and determining compatibility with men who seem decent, respectful, safe, and honest. [Not a paid announcement.]

The Homosexual Agenda.
Bi breeder girls. Also, gay bars as low-pressure safe havens from hetmale cruising? Yeah that's over.

Where Did You Meet Daddy, Daddy?.
Uh, how are people supposed to meet the future mothers/fathers of their children? Being completely socializing- and sex-hostile means no one gets to meet and mate. This is hardly pro-family. There are a LOT of lonely people out there.

I, Anonymous.
Gift giving is customary i.e. traditional, but not at all mandatory, especially for non-attendees. Begging for gifts (or making reference to them at all, i.e. by registries) in invitations is not etiquette, but it's becoming TRADITION: A rude tradition, if you will. The price tags on some are shocking.
IA has a point, that "child weddings" of 18-20 year olds traditionally star broke people, so the older generation showers them with gear they'll need. Those that have made their careers and have one or more fully appointed households do not need this style of gifts at all: time for a new tradition!
