@6 - just because I've never dated two men at once doesn't mean I'm too "closed-minded" or "inexperienced" to know that I would not handle polyamorous relationships well, or enjoy them. I don't want to share my man. I don't want to deal with STDs, or "scheduling conflicts" or potential unplanned offspring he would have to (had better) step up financially for.

Sharing your life and compromising your life movements with one person is tough enough. Including others (that aren't your offspring) in the mix is just not something I'm wired or willing to deal with.

@16 I'm pretty sure he has a brother and a sister, not sure if either of them are single though.

@35 what Alabama have you been to? There's plenty of poor people and racial mixing there.

As for President Obama proclaiming his love for America...I don't think it ever occurs to him because his actions speak far more loudly than his words.
He loves America enough to suffer masses of hate and bile spewed at him as he tries to keep her a premier nation in the world.
He loves America enough to risk assassination while he hops all over the world trying to broker world peace.
He loves America enough to give up an extremely lucrative law practice to take a pay cut to take on the white collar job that has possibly the lowest job satisfaction in the world.
He loves America enough that his beloved family has had to take second place (and if you dare say his daughters aren't negatively affected by this, we'll all know you're criminally insane) to crazy hours and all sorts of traveling.
And he even loves America enough to protect the rights of maggots like you, who revile him and say that his term has hurt America. I'd say that's an awful lot of love.

I'm in grad school and I can't find a day job to support myself while I'm stuck in Cali (trying to move back to Florida...long, convoluted story I won't bother you all with). I have applied to Petsmart literally six times and gotten nothing back, so I'm living off $$ my parents give me (that they can't really afford, because my sister can't find a job either and is living away from home for uni too), trying to dot my i's so I can come home and ease the pressure. I can only imagine how much harder it'd be to get a job if "trickle down" were in effect.

I've been following him on twitter for a while now. As a Vikings fan, he's one of my favorite players partially because he's awesome and partially because he's hilarious! And pretty down to earth too.

@25 - please tell me you don't think that every grad student goes to grad school "as an excuse to live off the parental teat"...

@102 exactly! I can't stand seeing major PDA, no matter who it's between. I even get annoyed at sex scenes in movies sometimes, no matter how vanilla they are. I believe it was Roald Dahl who said, "The act of copulation is like picking your nose. It's alright to do it yourself, but it's a singularly disgusting spectacle for anyone looking on."

@44 - precisely.

"Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! Because I lie and sign myself to lies! Because I am not worth the dust on the feet of them that hang! How may I live without my name? I have given you my soul; leave me my name!" - The Crucible
