@1 - Do you mean what would I call them, or what would I call them to their face? Different answers.

@81. Whew. I totally agree. After reading this letter and the comments I became convinced that I was the only woman who really doesn't have an opinion at all of the visual quality of my genitalia. Reassuring to know that I am not actually alone.

Was there some edited out part of her letter where the writer claims to be suffering more than anyone else because of the suicide? Because, yeesh. Yes, I too feel sorry for ex's parents, but that doesn't really solve the dating problem, does it? That line felt like a metaphorical stubbing out of one's cigarette on the letter.

I'm almost positive that the makers of Yahtzee did not envision that exclamation being used to describe this situation. But perfectly done, Dan.

I normally agree with Dan, but I think he missed the mark in this case.

Alone even without a vibrator is better than being with this man.

DTMFA yesterday.

And on your way out you should probably remind her that the percentage of straight men who haven't watched porn rounds up to 0, so she's either going to have to change her stance or acknowledge that she's getting lied to (or learn to live alone). But you shouldn't be doing the lying, and she sounds unhinged.

If Joanna Schoeder finds herself discussing a graphic sexual assault in an article entitled "The Lifecycle of Tomatoes," I'm going to hazard a guess that she's doing gardening wrong.

#5 - Lighten up. "Laser pointer foreplay" made me snort out loud. I don't think she'd say it to him; she was asking for help about how to be GGG here, not how to run for the hills.

I know that the writer already commented, so this is a kind of moot point, but the police don't hand out restraining orders like candy. You have to go before a judge and prove that this person is an actual threat. Being a nutter for 36 hours probably won't qualify. That said, a casual call from Officer So-and-So saying that ex-boyfriend should cease communication often goes a long way. My mother is a therapist and has had to do this with a couple of nutty ex-clients, and it's never escalated beyond that.
