@9 "it's only food... It's not art"
Really? A great meal, whether it costs $5 or $200 is one of life's great pleasures. Creating a great meal is an expressive undertaking. I dunno how you personally define art, but that fits my description of it.

@1 Are you trying to excuse American injustice because injustice occurs elsewhere in a "it's ok I kicked a puppy yesterday, 'cuz someone else kicked a puppy today" kinda way, or do you just not understand that films often tell particular stories without including a full accounting of every similar narrative in the history of humanity?

@3 "I think you meant Medical MJ retailers - none of this impacts home grows or coops"
Reread the recommendations, it explicitly applies to both patients and providers. Home grows and coops are what they are trying to stop.

"a city ordinance permitting encampments run by nonprofits instead of only by churches"
is there actually an ordinance that limits encampments to churches? That can't be legal can it?

Reddit is full of misogyny, but there is a qualitative difference between those pictures aside from gender. One is someone going through withdrawals and obviously miserable, the other is of someone happy and healthy. Even if you matched the genders I'd still be surprised if reddit didn't upvote the former and downvote the latter.
