Last night we found out the CCT cancelled all booked shows as they have a new owner. We were told to email the landlord with our concerns and our email would be forwarded to the owners. We paid a hefty downpayment for rental of the club for our cd release party...wonder if we will get it back. Hey, we really just wanted to have our party...and with less than a week to go....poof!....our party was cancelled. Help!

From the moment you walk through the non-descript, early 1900’s storefront, you come to the realization that the building holds an exciting, well kept secret. The arched entry way opens to a naturally lit atrium and the brick walls and tile floors take you back to a time long past. As you enter the lounge, you are greeted by friendly bar staff, warm wood moldings, relaxing lighting and if you’re lucky, one of the live music performances of the night.
If you are there to see a show in the theater, you will find it hard to pull yourself away from the atmosphere in the lounge, but will be glad you did. When you pass through the theater doors, you are met once again by friendly staff and a warm, relaxing atmosphere. The walls themselves seem to reverberate with the decades of entertainment that the theater has hosted and the candlelight and theater lighting adds to the ambiance. Just when you thought you had seen it all, the building surprises you again when you are offered a tour of the production facilities. As you are escorted through the sound studio and upstairs to the VIP room and video suite, you are already formulating a plan to become a regular patron or rent the facilities for your next event.
It was an amazing, magical evening that I spent there. I hope everyone gets a chance to discover one of Seattle’s best, kept secrets. Thank you, Columbia City Theater!

What a jewel! This is a great, intimate place to see a show and have a cocktail. Candle-lit tables, brick walls, velvet curtains. The sound is really good and they have a multitrack recording studio and video production capability too.
Nice.
