Hands Down Best

This is an old-school steak house with the best chateaubriand you can imagine. Reminds me of another time and place back East - I adore this place and we spend every Anniversary there and yes, we'll drop $400 but it's worth it....you won't see another hipster in sight!

Lovely time...

I went on a Friday night and had a nice time. The waiter was attentive and gave good reccomendations from food to wine. My steak was delicious but my guy's flaming steak skewers didn't have a chance to burn off proper and there was too much of an alcohol flavor. But it was still pretty good. Also, I was getting married the next day and the waiter surprised my fiancee and me with free, HUGE, Creme Brulee. There were four people and with 3 steaks, one chicken and we shared two sides and had 2 glasses of wine and it came up to $300

Mediocre Food, worse atmosphere

This place is horrible. It looks like my idea of a post-death purgatory in a Midwest Greyhound station. I've been dragged in there several times for overpriced business meals. Haughty pinhead staff, food is nothing special. You want good food and a lot less pretense, hit the Met Grill or the Brooklyn.

Good Stuff

Gaucho is good. I love the prohibition days throw back atmosphere. It has great showmanship, half the enjoyment is just looking around. The steaks and food are good, not the best steaks in town but worth the experience for sure. Great for an evening of cocktails, nearly great food and enjoyment with a group of people.

Ok, but....

I'd rather go to Daniel's Broiler. No complaints at all about the service of the atmosphere for an "upscale" dining experience, but I wasn't overwhelmed with the food. The flaming skewers are pretty cool to watch. I hear the happy hours is great though.

ha

I didn't expect to see good reviews for this place on here, but come on! This is the best steakhouse Seattle has to offer, period. Yes, it is full of the expected yuppie tackiness. the staff are for the most part cheesarific, and the other patrons are likely talking about how annoyed they're getting with all the little cars getting in the way of their urban asault vehicles. BUT, you can't take away from the fact that the food here is superb. it just is. overpriced, yes. feel like a shithead for being there? yes.

OMG This Place is TERRIBLE

I don't even know where to start... maybe with the food poisoning? OK even allowing for that as a fluke, this place is terrible. Please run don't go there. My best experience was when I went there with a friend and the waitress told us that her husband had a hard time eating the baseball cut steak and he had a dickdoo. We said,as you'd expect: "Excuse me? Dickdoo? What?" And she said: "You know, his stomach hangs out further than his dick do". Classy. For god's sake go tot he Metropolitan Grill. If that's too damn obvious than go to Ruth's Chris or Mortons or anywhere else!
