"Boundary-pushing choreographer Miguel Gutierrez and his company of six dancers perform And lose the name of action, which OtB describes as 'part dance, part séance, and part neurological investigation' concerning brain disorders and mind-body research. The piece, according to the New Yorker, 'bombarded us with stimuli,' including singing, film footage, a white parachute lit from behind to resemble an inverted jellyfish, cacophonic conversation, and a white box filled with light that served as a kind of oracle. Gutierrez’s work can be esoteric, hovering and shivering on the very border of meaning, but it is bracing." (Brendan Kiley)
