For Regulars ONLY!

This is one of the worst places I have ever been. You can smell the nasty grease used for cooking from a block away. The food is AWFUL, and the only people who can get strong drinks or a karaoke song are the regulars. The last time (both most recent and the final time I will ever go) I went my drink didn't even have liquor in it. To give credit where credit is due, the servers are really nice/do a good job. Too bad what they are "serving well" is not worth your time or money.

Had to send back the hot and sour soup because it had gone bad. The chicken in my entree tasted just on the cusp of going bad. Serving food that has gone bad is unforgiveable. I go to restaurants to eat not to chug alcohol. So even if they serve a good drink, eat here at your own risk!

Cafe Ladro

Cafe Ladro at the bottom of Queen Anne: first the girl looked right past me to take the order of the guy behind me. I politely told her I had not been helped yet. After she took my order she proceeded to make drinks and take money from the next two people in line, before looking back and asking if she could help me. I pointed out that she'd already taken my order before the last two customers. What really made me mad about this encounter is that I received no apology and (if I'd been smarter) I could have just gone to the Uptown instead. I have had consistently indifferent service at both Cafe Ladros on Queen Anne. I'm not expecting Starbucks-style corporate friendliness, but I do expect you to take my order and make my drink. Oh, and when I didn't tip yesterday and you kind of gave me the look? Well your service sucked and from now on I'm spending my money at one of the many other coffee shops on Queen Anne.

rickshaw fo life

pros: unbeatable karaoke, real stiff drinks (seriously!), and a gorgeous wait staff. cons: the pretty waitresses are not always fast, or kind. (alex, however, is the exception: an exquisite combination of grace, class, and beauty). if you're ordering food, your best bet is to stick to something familiar like chicken strips, or bbq pork. also, there's no room for "maybe i will sing a song later when i get drunk enough" it's more like "i better put in a song now before i even order a drink so that i can still sing tonight and just hope i get drunk enough in the meantime."

Stiff drinks!

They're remodeling so, if the dirtiness bothered you......Lots of regulars, most are cool down to earth people. Service is good. Corrie, Tonette and Holly are great bartenders and drinks are strong. Stick to simple appetizers as far as food goes. It's pretty hard to get in and sing more than one song if that on a Friday night.

drinks good-----food terrible

I have been to the Rickshaw several times. The drinks are STRONG and I have always had good service. The floor plan is a little odd. If you get there late or it is busy be prepared to be slightly away from the action. (This may or may not work for you depending on what you are looking for.) Beware of the food! The fry daddy snacks are even bad after several of their strong drinks. As far as the karaoke- The host is super sweet but the song selection needs a little updating and you can't hear yourself while you are singing.

Depends on what you're looking for..

Bad food, but funny karaoke. Dive bar with requisite bar flies, but they're friendly. I had a good time, but can't recommend the place. Unless you live there or are in the mood for karaoke in a dive bar, skip it. Bar = 3 stars. Food = -1 stars. Avg = 1 and that's ok if you're into that sort of thing, but I have to give the one star review in case someone skims these and thinks they should go eat there.

Didn't like it

Just went for the 1st time (on a weeknight), and left in probably 15 minutes. Since we had more than 4 people, we had to sit in an isolated corner all alone so we could all fit at a table, the place is too brightly lit for my taste, there was disgusting food smeared all over the carpet where I would have put my feet, and my drink was not strong at all. Service was good though. Can't see going back. Maybe on the weekends it's better.

Skip it

The food is pretty awful. And it's full of hard core bar files, that just make you feel sad. But they pour strong enough that after awhile you can forget that it smells funny and everything is kind of dirty.
