Zachary Bowen has not been in contact with anyone in his wide circle of friends in Capitol Hill and Belltown for months, according to his mother, Susan Cereghino, and several of his friends. By all accounts, Bowen is much loved by many people in the community—but aside from one Facebook exchange on February 8, no one’s heard from him, Cereghino said.
“My son is the sweetest, nicest person,” she said. “I think he’s in danger.”
Cereghino last heard that Bowen had been living on the streets in Capitol Hill. Cereghino spoke with police, but options for reporting him as a missing person are slim because he’s an adult.
“It’s complicated and it’s heartbreaking,” Cereghino continued. “I’ve got to find him and let him know he’s worth saving.”
Bowen is 27 years old, 6′ or 6’1, and weighs about 143 pounds. He’s biracial, wears glasses, smokes cigarettes, and usually has a thin beard. He also has a small gap between his two front teeth. If you see him, please contact sydney@thestranger.com or the e-mail address on the flyer below.
