The car was picked up near 20th Ave NE and NE 65th Street, said Nellis.

Slog reader Doug Nellis noticed something strange when he went to take a ride in a nearby car2go: The Smart car had a neo-Nazi sticker slapped onto its bumper. The sticker appeared to have been placed that day, he wrote in an e-mail.

"I didn't see this kind of shit three months ago," Nellis wrote.

He continued:

Thinking about this further, putting a bumper sticker on a car share vehicle is a really smart way to spread a shitty message. The cars move all over the city and most people probably don't pay much attention to what's affixed to them. This could be a one-off by a member of this hate group or it could be a trend. Who knows, but I would encourage users of Car2Go and ReachNow to pay attention to what's on the car they drive and report these incidents to the media and the car share company. I reported this to Car2Go last night but have not heard back from them.

When The Stranger reached car2go for comment, company communications manager Dacyl Armendariz described the incident as "upsetting."

"Car2Go embraces diversity and inclusion," she said. "We have zero tolerance for any hate materials placed on or in any of our vehicles."

Upon discovering the sticker, Nellis said he "tore it off and put it in my garbage can," AKA right where it and white supremacy belong. PSA: Report hateful shit like this and fight against it.
