The council will begin considering the legislation today at 2 pm.

Moon Very Likely to Take Second in the Race for Mayor: That would send her through to the general election against Jenny Durkan. As of the latest ballot count, urban planner Cary Moon led lawyer and educator Nikkita Oliver by 1,362. While there are still at least 1,721 ballots that have not been counted because of signature challenges, plus some alternative-format ballots and others still coming by mail, it’s unlikely all of those will be counted. Usually, only about 50 percent of signature challenges are resolved. King County estimates it will count only about 1,200 more ballots, less than the gap between Moon and Oliver.
