So, our white supremacist president shifted his racist target from the NFL (mostly black) to the island of Puerto Rico (mostly brown). The NFL was last week; Puerto Rico, which was hit by two powerful hurricanes in September, is this week. With the NFL, he pressed the buttons of the plantation world (the master and his slaves); with Puerto Rico, he is pressing the buttons of what is known as the white man’s burden.
The people of the island were told in tweets by the great white man that “they [Hispanic people] want everything done for them” and that their leader, the mayor of San Juan (Carmen Yulín Cruz), didn’t know how to lead. He, the great white man must now save a bunch of people who can’t help themselves.
What ever racist button Trump pushes, it’s never new. His is a racism that’s as old as the hills.
