The Seattle Public Library announced today that its collection of e-books is now available to Kindle users.

Patrons of The Seattle Public Library who have Kindles now have access to more than 25,000 titles in the Library’s e-book collection.

For directions on how to borrow Kindle e-books from the Library, visit the “Digital Books & Media” page on the Library’s website (www.spl.org) and select the PDF guide on the right side of the page.

  1. It will be interesting to see if SPL joins a number of other libraries across the nation who are loaning out pre-loaded Nooks with up to 30 titles or more per device. There are genre Nooks for mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, romance, biography, bestsellers, nonfiction, etc. They’re very popular where they’ve been introduced. Sacramento Public Libraries are currently loaning some 300 Nooks and they have waiting lists.
