‘God Bless America’

For a movie that starts with skeet-shooting a baby, director Bobcat Goldthwait’s God Bless America proves surprisingly funny and satisfying. It follows the cross-country exploits of a likable if unlikely Bonnie and Clyde–like duo intent on ridding reality-TV-addled America of its many rude, insufferable assholes. There’s an undeniable vicarious pleasure in watching our duo Frank (Joel Murray) and Roxy (18-year-old Tara Lynne Barr) dispatch, with an equal degree of detached irony, both a Glenn Beckish hate-talker and the guy who takes up two spots in a crowded parking lot. Movie times link goes nowhere. Goldy, can you lend a hand? I can't find show times for this movie anywhere in Seattle.

@1 Try this:

I watched the preview of this online during SIFF, and while I understood the joke, it seemed to be drawn out into a Knute Bergeresque narrative of staying off our lawns.

Yeah, not down with kids shooting people, regardless of the film's brilliant "underlying metaphor" or whatever the fuck the point was here.
