In case you haven’t been keeping up with wine trends (and that’s a fully defensible rock to live under), rosé is back. The long-maligned (and usually awful) “blush” wine is now available pretty much all over the place in an unsweet, very refreshing, under-$10-a-bottle form. Doug Nufer, local writer and partner at European Vine Selections (which sounds over-fancy but isn’t), says the 2011 vintage you’ll find around now is extra-wonderful, but he also admits they’re all good. “Of course, it’s the perfect outdoor drink,” he says. “I quit using sunscreen years ago because the stench of it interfered with the aroma of my rosé.” (European Vine Selections, 522 15th Ave E, www.evswines.com, or the wine shop or grocery store nearest you)
