Dear anyone who’s never seen The Graduate: What the fuck is wrong with you? Directed by a young Mike Nichols, starring a young Dustin Hoffman, and featuring an impeccable Simon and Garfunkel soundtrack, The Graduate tells the story of a young man thrust into an adulthood that seemingly wants to exploit him from all angles. It’s a bittersweet comedy that’s never been topped. (And Elizabeth Wilson’s response to the news of Ben and Elaine’s engagement is one of the five funniest things ever done by a human.)
