Truly were the last great grunge group, and their classic 1995 album Fast Storiesโฆ From Kid Coma shouldโve shifted In Uteroโlike numbers. Led by guitarist/vocalist Robert Roth, this Seattle trio wrote bruising, romantic songs aglow with twilight poignancy and hard-luck soul. Trulyโs gnarled, tuneful numbers soared somewhere between those of fellow Sub Pop dwellers Nirvana and Love Battery, and โLeslieโs Coughing Up Bloodโ remains one of the greatest, most harrowing songs to come out of Seattle. Weโre blessed to have Truly back. (Neumos, 925 E Pike St, neumos.com, 8 pm, $15 adv, 21+)
