National poetry month. Three words that should give the horrors to anyone who likes poetry. Or the nation. Or months. (Because enforced institutional celebration is the exact opposite of actually celebrating.) But tonight's event, which has something to do with the month of poetry, sounds great. Jose Bold (Kirk Anderson and John Osebold of "Awesome"), along with Sara Edwards (of the French Project), have made songs out of poems by Dorothy Parker, Dean Young, and maybe—if we're lucky—a certain forgotten pop star/poetess named Jewel. Jose Bold's Mountain at ACT Theatre was one of the most charmingly bizarre and underappreciated shows of last year, so this should be good. Plus, members of the Maldives and Goldfinch will play.
