As White House press secretary, Scott McClellan peddled lines that he now says were part of a "propaganda campaign"—you know, lines about little things like the war in Iraq and the Valerie Plame spy-outing scandal. Pity that McClellan is only now copping to his role as a useful idiot for the Bush administration, but better late than never. One hopes that after reading from his new mea culpa memoir, he answers audience questions honestly. For a change.
