Atlanta has T.I. and T.I.P. Seattle has Scratchmaster Joe and Nicemaster Nice. Scratchmaster Joe is a turntablist show-off, a selector of the nastiest ghettotech raunch, and a world-class jerk. Nicemaster Nice is a benevolent community booster, responsible for organizing legal graffiti murals and building an electronic music studio for the Meadow Lake Teen Center. Both are aliases for Joe Martinez. Tonight's CD release party for the new mix, Scratchmaster Joe Is Nicemaster Nice, will unite his Jekyll and Hyde halves.
