Telling Childhood

(READING) Richard Hugo House's fall "Inquiry" has traditionally been a bit of a mess, but this year it's looking sleek and downright alluring. The (suitably creepy) schedule for Friday the 13th includes a talk on obsessiveness by Greil Marcus, a music critic with a singular talent for locating points where pop music wriggles in and out of the wider culture; and Stranger Genius Rebecca Brown, who'll talk about untrustworthy childhood memories. (Richard Hugo House, 1634 11th Ave, 322-7030. 7:30 pm, $25.)
