From the title of her book on (it's Yeah. No. Totally.), it's obvious that Lisa Wells is a bomb-thrower intent on blowing the stupidity of her own generation to pieces. With spare, heart-hurt language, she rips apart our music, fashion, and culture in search of something meaningful. Tonight, Wells celebrates the birth of her book with other young authors including Somnambulist zine-maker Martha Grover and a couple of up-and-comers from young Portland press Perfect Day Publishing. Loch Lomond lead singer Ritchie Young will perform an acoustic set, too. (Hugo House, 1634 11th Ave, 322-7030, 7 pm, free)
