Who would have thought the most ear-catching instrument in electronic music this year would be—what is that, anyway? Bells? Chimes? Maybe a marimba? Whatever the source, German solo artist Pantha Du Prince bends melodic percussion to create a singularly cool, billowing brand of minimal techno on his latest, Black Noise. Pantha Du Prince headlines tonight’s promising start to the seventh annual Decibel Festival, with local treasure Lusine, Ghostly mates Mux Mool and Gold Panda, and others. 1. Sadly, this is up against Fremont Oktoberfest, the Greek festival at St. Demtrios, the Italian festival at Seattle Center, and the SIFF Spanish Film festival at Seattle Center.

I’ll be listening to polkas, rock, greek music, Italian singers, and Spanish musicians.

  2. on the other hand … Lusine is great.

decisions decisions .. party with beautiful women who invited me or trance out to electronica from Iceland from a friend of some people I know.
