Hari Kondabolu Gets His Own Comedy Central Special

• Hari Kondabolu: Has no plans to buy you a plane ticket.

Hari, writing today from southern India, has a message for YOU, Seattle:

Dearest Seattle,

I love you. You must know this. I really do not believe I would be the comedian I am today without the thoughtful and loyal audiences you have provided me with over the last 5 years. And with the notable exceptions of several baristas at Caffe Vita in Capitol Hill (as documented in this youtube clip), I love all of you.

With all this being said, I would like to announce that I have been chosen for a Comedy Central Presents half-hour special for this upcoming television season and I would like to invite you all (with the exception of the aforementioned baristas) to my taping in New York City. I do realize it is very unlikely that every Seattle resident can fly across the country to watch me for half an hour, especially when I regularly come back to Seattle to do at least an hour, but the offer is there. You are my favorite audience and I want to share this moment with you.

So, if you feel as though you are due for a trip to New York City, why not plan it around my Sunday October 17th taping? If you so choose, here is a link to request tickets to said taping.

Now, it should be noted that I will NOT provide you with housing, food or cover your travel costs to NYC. I have nothing to offer you other than LOVE, which is of course priceless. (“Priceless” is a nicer way of saying “worthless.”)
