DelBene Gains Ground on Reichert: According to a new SurveyUSA/KING5 poll:
“Compared to an identical SurveyUSA poll 4 weeks ago, DelBene is up 4 points; Reichert is down 2. Among moderates, Reichert had led by 4, now trails by 17, a 21-point swing to the Democrat. Among women, DelBene had trailed by 8 points, now leads by 3, an 11-point swing to the Democrat. Men and voters age 35 to 49 account for almost all of Reichert’s advantage.”
Are we doing it right?: Democrats claim enthusiasm gap is narrowing, prepare to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Yer Doin’ It Wrong: Liberal Groups Rally at Lincoln Memorial to emulate challenge the Tea Party. How can we be enthusiastic when the Democratic Party can’t do anything but make half-assed responses to puerile Republicans. What a reactionary bunch of wusses. Plus, Colbert/Stewart have already orchestrated the only warranted response to the Beckerheads.
Our Democracy Could Be Worse: Ecuadorian government backs off from austerity measures after widespread riots.
Fatal Stabbing in Federal Way: A 70 year old man was stabbed on Saturday morning. The suspect, a 25 year old man, was arrested 40 minutes later.
Stay Outta Europe: Says the State Department.
Gross: Apparently, your chicken nuggets are made out of this. Just in case you were wondering what mechanically separated chicken actually was.
I Guess Boobs and Blow Are Good for Business: Facebook the website does 5 for 1 stock split as Facebook the movie opens on Friday. If you don’t have a hundred million dollars to spare for some kids in Newark, or even ten dollars to spend on a movie ticket, here is your official Taiwanese recap in under two minutes:

del Bene is a stooge who supports the egregious 1098 — a tax cut on property for the super elite.
That SurveyUSA/KING5 poll had a statistic that blew my mind. It said that 83% of likely voters make more than $150,000?
Holy crap! I knew that there were a lot of rich people in the 8th district, but an almost a 5 to 1 majority?
#2.
And what’s the average asset holdings of people on Hunt’s Point?
Or in Ballard for that matter?

Hawks are 3rd in NFC!
Shorter John Friis: My way or the highway.
This man has was born to write for The Stranger.
DelBene may indeed be gaining ground, but she’s still way behind. Mail in ballots go out in a couple of weeks. She still has a lot of catching up to do and not very much time to do it.
That’s my favorite Taiwanese recap yet! I looked up some stuff about NextMedia, and it’s an amazing media empire – 3600 employees headed by the original Jimmy Lai, who for his brass I’d name my new boyfriend if only he were much better looking. Helluva story.
#2: 83% in the 8th district make >$50k, not $150k.
That’s still a lot. In SurveyUSA’s last City of Seattle poll, it had 69% made >$50k, despite Seattle having more college grads.
There’s an obscene amount of money flowing through the Eastside…
Zuckerberg didn’t give the children of Newark $100 million- he gave it to the mayor and governor to buy a policy change requiring that control of the schools be taken away from the community and given to one person- the mayor. Zuckerberg is part of a growing group of fantastically wealthy individuals who suddenly care about reforming education- as long as reform means privatizing our public schools to line the pockets of the fantastically wealthy.
