  2. Sorry; as I am now out of short pants, I have no interest in sport—I stick to the interests proper to adult men: science, sex, dope, and studying Talmud (or your own group’s equivalent, e.g. the “Analects” of Master Kung or the collected works of Joe-Bob Briggs).

  3. Wilson, along with having an imaginary (or not?) fetish friend known as “the machine” is also a trained ninja/mental assassin. On top of not bring from Texas the Giants are delightfully weird. Their slogan? “Giants Baseball: Torture.” Seriously…this led to a grandma-looking older lady holding a sign the read “i love torture” during the NLCS. I could go on. I’m so gay for the giants.

  4. @18: You’ve forgotten about 2002 when the Anaheim Angels beat the SF Giants in a 4-3 match-up. The Loma Prieta earthquake was 6.9 on the Richter scale, 21 years ago on Oct. 17th, Eminem’s 17th birthday. You want to root against the team that has no questionable connection to George Dubya.
