First, I apologize, I’m typing this on my phone and there’s an alarming lack of punctuation in the special characters.
I’m at SeaTac on my way to Traverse Family Christmas Cluedopalooza(tm), and at least today they didn’t have the backscatter x-ray machines going, nor was I groped. I just had a short jaunt through the normal security rigamarole.

How crowded is security? Little? Lot?
Hmph. If I can do Special Characters™ on my BlackBerry®, you ought to be able to do them on your iPhone.
Have a safe trip and a merry Christmas.
Fuckin’ A, 5280, you say you’re an old guy, but you are clearly–what do the youth say?–down with technology. Do I have those on my iPhone?
And Merry Xmas, Mary (heh)…I know, I was disappointed by the lack of groping, too, when I traveled recently. Promises, promises.
But who will provide me with news in dinosaurs and animals that aren’t dinosaurs?
Have fun, I guess.
When I went through secuirty two weeks ago at A gates, they split the line into three- neither line #1 or line #2 got the backscatter, but of course mine did… Which meant that a TSA agent got a good feel of my nethers that day, and I got to wake up without the need for coffee.
Just say the word, MacCrocodile, and I can hook you up with all the baby hedgehog pictures you want…
I would imagine you do, Canuck. You’d have to ask an iPhone geek how, though.
Thanks, Canuck, but I guess I should have said “animals that weren’t dinosaurs.”
*sigh* It’s going to be a long Christmas without dinosaurs.
Travel safely, Mary, and have fun.
I just got back from a trip to NY and was hugely relieved that I did not encounter backscatter xrays/TSA groping either direction.
Have a good trip!
At 5ish this morning there was a line, but it wasn’t terrible and they moved people through quickly. Except for the dude ahead of me who apparently had never been through airport security before. He got sent back to the conveyor belt four times, and then had his bag searched. Poor guy.
Do not worry! I will try to keep on top of dinosaur news while I’m away! I’ll also report on the outcome of Traverse Family Christmas Cluedopalooza.
