The Washington State Department of Transportation has posted the Final Environmental Impact Statement on the deep-bore tunnel. There are zillions of pages. The main chapters are essentially summaries, which get backed up by stacks of appendices and exhibits. Among the most interesting supplements is the Transportation Discipline Report; that’s the traffic study, the key gauge of a transportation project. I’ll be looking at all of this while you’re looking at it—if you see something, comment about it—and I’ll follow up with a post as soon as I can.
